Daley Organics Soil Mix
Coco Fiber
Provides excellent water retention, holding significantly more water than sandy soil, which reduces watering frequency and improves drought resilience. Its fibrous, porous texture creates air pockets, improving aeration, preventing compaction, and encouraging healthy root development. Coco fiber is pH neutral and supports enhanced nutrient retention and delivery to plants.
Peat Moss
Enhances moisture retention significantly, proving especially valuable in sandy soils and potting mixes. It improves soil structure by loosening clay and adding cohesiveness to sand, increasing aeration and reducing compaction. Peat moss is naturally acidic, which helps lower soil pH for acid-loving plants.
Perlite
A lightweight, porous volcanic glass that creates air pockets in the soil, preventing compaction and facilitating oxygen movement to roots. This improves aeration, promotes strong root growth, and enhances nutrient uptake. It also improves drainage while retaining a modest amount of moisture, balancing hydration without waterlogging.
Pumice
A porous volcanic rock that significantly improves drainage and aeration by creating air pockets and preventing compaction. Its sponge-like structure also absorbs and retains excess water, releasing it gradually as the soil dries. Pumice contains trace minerals that are slowly released, providing micro-nutritional support to plants over time.
Premium Compost
Adds essential organic matter, which improves soil structure, aeration, and water infiltration by promoting stable soil aggregates. It is rich in slow-release macro and micronutrients, enhancing the soil's capacity to retain nutrients. Compost also increases microbial diversity and abundance, fostering beneficial organisms that cycle nutrients and suppress pathogens.
Daley Organics Premium Fertilizer Blend
Worm Castings
Nutrient-rich fertilizer containing readily available essential nutrients (N, P, K, Ca, S, Mg) and concentrated nitrates. They improve soil structure, aeration, and water retention, while introducing beneficial microbes and humic acid for enhanced nutrient absorption. Worm castings boost germination, seedling growth, and plant resistance to diseases, pests, and environmental stresses.
Sea Bird Guano
Rich in phosphorus, potassium, carbon, and nitrogen, plus silica and chitin, stimulating vigorous root, flower, and foliage growth. It supplies readily available and slow-release nutrients. Seabird guano acts as a biostimulant, increasing microbial activity, improving water retention, and enhancing nutrient cycling.
Bat Guano
A potent organic fertilizer high in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, with micronutrients like boron, calcium, and iron. It improves soil texture, balances moisture, stimulates soil microflora, acts as a slow-release fertilizer, and may aid in flushing soil toxins.
Kelp Meal
A rich source of over 70 micronutrients and trace minerals, plus natural growth hormones that stimulate root growth and nutrient uptake. It improves soil structure and moisture retention, supports microbial activity, boosts plant immunity, and increases stress resistance.
Fish Bone Meal
A good source of phosphorus, essential for robust root development, flowering, and fruit production. It also provides calcium for strong plant cell walls. As a slow-release fertilizer, it provides nutrients over about three months, promoting strong root growth and vibrant blooms.
Feather Meal
A slow-release nitrogen source, providing a steady supply for lush, green, leafy growth throughout the season. It also improves soil structure and supports microorganisms as it breaks down, enhancing soil fertility and nutrient availability over time.
Greensand
A mineral amendment providing potassium and over 25 trace elements with a slow, gentle release over years. It improves soil structure and water retention in both clay and sandy soils and enhances cation exchange capacity.
Alfalfa Meal
Contains macro and micronutrients, plus a growth hormone that stimulates growth, branching, and fruit size. It conditions soil, attracts earthworms and beneficial microbes, and contains saponins that can help repel pests.
Soybean Meal
A high-nitrogen organic source that releases nutrients slowly, providing a sustained supply for lush foliage. It improves soil structure and drainage and increases organic matter by feeding soil microbes.
Blood Meal
A concentrated, rapid organic nitrogen source essential for vegetative growth and chlorophyll production. It stimulates compost decomposition and can help repel herbivores like deer and rabbits.
Bone Meal
Primarily a source of phosphorus for robust root development and calcium for strengthening plant cell walls. It's a slow-release fertilizer beneficial for root vegetables and seedling establishment.
Oyster Shell
Primarily calcium carbonate, acting as a liming material to raise soil pH and neutralize acidity. It improves nutrient balance by increasing calcium and stimulates microbial biomass and enzyme activities.
Crab Meal
A source of slow-release nitrogen, phosphorus, and high levels of calcium. It contains chitin, which feeds microbes that consume soil insects and root-damaging nematodes and helps fight root rot and mildew.
Shrimp Meal
A balanced organic fertilizer rich in nitrogen and phosphorus, with nutrients rapidly available due to quick breakdown. It also contains significant calcium which improves cell wall strength and can improve soil structure.
K-Mag Trio
A balanced, low-chloride, pH-neutral fertilizer providing potassium, magnesium, and sulfur. Potassium is vital for water regulation, magnesium for chlorophyll, and sulfur for protein synthesis. It supports overall crop vigor.
Gypsum
Provides plant-available calcium and sulfur and improves soil structure. Calcium ions help hold soil particles together, reducing surface crusting and improving aggregation, especially in sodic or high clay soils.
Dolomite Lime
Used to raise soil pH in acidic soils and supply magnesium and calcium. It neutralizes acidity and provides essential magnesium for chlorophyll and calcium for cell wall development.
Humic Acids
Derived from Leonardite Shale, they significantly increase the activities of soil microflora, serving as a food source for microbes. This enhances biological activity, improves fertilizer efficiency, soil structure, and water retention.
Mycorrhiza
A beneficial fungus that forms a symbiosis with roots, enhancing nutrient uptake (especially P, N, K), improving water absorption, and increasing resistance to environmental stresses. It improves soil structure and boosts plant growth.
Glacial Rock Dust
A natural mineral product for remineralizing soil with trace minerals and micronutrients. It improves soil vitality, plant health, structure, moisture retention, drainage, and can help raise pH in acidic soils.
